Scott’s Birthday Jam Session #33 – Oct. 6, 2001

I always love trading off with other musicians. It is fun to complete their ideas and add humor. Since Jon Nelson, particularly on trombone, can create a wide range of highly expressive sounds, on this tradeoff from 2001, I play the straight man, feeding him phrases and ideas. It has its moments. Pianist Bob Mitchell and Glenn Calkins on bass keep the music swinging.
